Bred in Suffolk by the artist and gardener, the late Cedric Morris in the mid 20th century. Unfortunately, like many of Cedric's iris, his records on the parentage are missing. Sarah Cook, ex Head Gardener at Sissinghurst continues her research on the Benton iris.
