Dark purple self.
Hybridised by John Taylor in 1975 from 'Snippet' X seedling #E.112A/4.
John was well known and respected worldwide in the iris community, becoming the British Iris Society President 1970-73. Many of his iris are named after family and friends.
I have to thank the genius Anne Milner ( John Taylor collector) for identifying this iris for me. We have had it at the nursery for many years... now we know it's name.
