Historic British Tall Bearded Iris 90cm.
Early to Mid Season flowering, May and June in the UK. It is known to re bloom in autumn, but not reliably.
Creamy green standards and falls with a central purple band and on the falls, darker veining in the throat. Yellow beard.
Hybridised by the great British Artist Sir Cedric Morris in the late 1940's but not registered.
Lloyd Austin describes this iris in his (1959) 'World Famous Iris Color Guidebook' :"A very popular novelty..iris.. in silvery-olive buff. A subtle new coloring proving very useful to arrangers.
