Species Iris 1.2m

A rather unfortunate name for this attractive pale primrose water iris ! Often referred to as the "Fleur-de-Lis"

Flowering in early summer, May, June and July in the UK. Full sun or part shade.

Lightly scented.

Pale creamy-yellow flowers.

Makes a bold clump of sword-like leaves, handsome in damp gardens or submerged in the shallows to 20cm.

After the foliage has died back in Autumn cut back to just above the water surface. If trimming is left until spring take care not to damage emerging shoots. Not at all invasive.
